Biography

 

Professor David Raubenheimer graduated with a B.Sc. in Zoology and Botany (1984), BSc Honours in Zoology (1985) and MSc in nutritional ecology (1987) from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. In 1991 he was awarded a D.Phil. from Oxford University (Zoology), and in 1992 took up a FRD Fellowship at the University of Cape Town. In 1992 he returned to Oxford to take up a Departmental Lectureship in Zoology, and in 1998 was appointed to a Senior Research Fellowship in the same department and concurrently to a Tutorial Fellowship (Biology and Human Sciences) at Magdalen College, Oxford. In 2004 he took up a lectureship in the School of Biological Sciences, and in 2008 moved to Massey University where he is now Professor of Nutritional Ecology.
